A company website for everyone who checks you out.

Customers look for your offer, partners for technical data, candidates for job openings and investors for reports. We design a site with a separate path for each of them, and a panel where your team keeps building it.

01Starting point

Who can't find what they need on your website today?

A company website has many audiences at once, and each comes for something different. Under each line below is what we do about it, and a project that started from a similar place.

“We write to customers, partners and candidates all at once, and everyone gets lost.”

A separate path for each audience

We start with who visits the site and why. Each group gets its own path, with content, a form and answers to its questions, and from the first screen the home page points everyone the right way.

What we do

  • A workshop on who visits the site and what they look for.
  • A sitemap with a separate path for each group.
  • Forms that reach the right department.
“We offer hundreds of services, and customers don't know where to start.”

An offer organised the way customers search

We divide the offer the way customers search for it and leave the company's org chart for the intranet. Each service or product gets a page built from one of a few templates, so even hundreds of pages look consistent, and your team adds new ones on its own.

What we do

  • The offer divided by the questions customers come with.
  • Page templates for services, products and problems.
  • One price list or catalogue that feeds every page.

Intima Clinic

On intimaclinic.pl we divided the offer the way patients search: “For her” and “For him”. Each of the 243 service pages is built from one of three templates, and a shared price list with 290 items feeds 140 small price lists next to the services.

“Our sales reps send customers PDFs instead of links to our website.”

Specs and files behind a single link

Whatever customers ask sales reps about goes on the website: specifications, drawings, downloads and projects. The rep sends a link, and the customer comes back to the site whenever they need something.

What we do

  • Specification tables with filters.
  • Files next to each product: drawings, models and data sheets to download.
  • A knowledge base with articles and projects.

Useful links in Porta's Architect Zone: downloads, BIM and catalogues.

Porta PRO

An architect needs a fire resistance class, a drawing for the documentation, a BIM file and reference projects. Porta's Architect Zone puts all of this in one place: specification tables filtered by door type, BIM files and a knowledge base, in Polish and Romanian.

“Our old website holds thousands of documents, and we're afraid something will get lost.”

Moving content with a map of old addresses

First we list everything on the old site: pages, posts, reports and files. Content moves to its new place, and every old address redirects to a new one, so no links or Google rankings get lost.

What we do

  • An inventory of the old site's content, files and addresses.
  • Content moved to its new place, documents included.
  • 301 redirects and Google reports checked after launch.

BEST Group

We moved over 4,000 posts, reports and documents to the new best.com.pl, and over 300 old addresses now lead to new ones. Investors find investor relations there, complete with reports.

02What you get

A website that grows with the company

A company website lives for years: new services, languages, job offers and news keep coming. So after launch your team gets a system where it adds all of this on its own.

Templates for every new page

We design a template for each type of content: service, product, project, post and job offer. An editor picks a template, enters the content, and the page is ready, in the same layout as the rest of the site.

Example At Nowa Stomatologia the service template is used 22 times: description, procedure, advice before and after, price list and a form with the service already filled in. Nowa Stomatologia

A knowledge base, projects and events that sort themselves

When the team adds an article, project or event, the site places it on the list, in the filters and on the home page by itself. Content meant only for specialists can sit behind a gate.

Example When Porta's team adds a project or a trade fair, the Architect Zone places it in the calendar and on the list automatically. Porta PRO

Forms and job offers connected to your systems

An enquiry goes to the department that will answer it, a newsletter sign-up to the right list, and job offers come straight from the recruitment system. Nobody retypes them by hand.

Language versions where your enquiries come from

Each version has its own content and can have its own editors, and we set up the addresses so search engines show visitors the right language.

Example Dawtona's business site, dawtonafrozen.pl, runs in Polish and English, because enquiries come from all over the world. Dawtona Group

Training, a manual and support after launch

After launch we train the team to work in the panel and leave a manual. For 12 months we handle updates and backups, and after that we can keep developing the site together.

Example After launch we trained the PolTREG team, who now add news themselves. We update the investor section together with the company every month. PolTREG

05Questions

Questions about company websites

How many pages will the website have?

As many as its audiences need. We settle the number on the sitemap before design starts, and build the menu around it. Thanks to templates, new pages need no design work: Intima Clinic has 243 service pages built from three templates.

Can the website have several language versions?

Yes. A multilingual website has separate content for each language and can have separate editors. Porta PRO runs in Polish and Romanian, and Grupa BEST's six sites in five languages, one of them in Cyrillic.

Who will move the content from the old site?

We will. We list the old site's content and addresses, move them to their new places and set up redirects. For best.com.pl that meant over 4,000 posts, reports and documents, and for urtica.pl 367 redirects.

Will the website connect to our systems?

Yes, if the system allows it. Forms sign people up to mailing lists, job offers come from the recruitment system, and online booking leads to doctors' calendars. We start with a list of the systems you already use.

What does working on a website look like?

Six stages: analysis and workshop, sitemap and wireframe, visual design, development and panel, content and testing, and finally launch and support. We agree the schedule at the start and keep you posted as we go. Each stage is described in our website design process.

How is a company website different from a landing page?

A company website answers the questions of many audiences and lives for years. A landing page has one goal and one button, usually for the length of a campaign. It can be built from the company website's blocks, like the campaign section on the Acer UK portal.

06Other types of websites

What other websites do you build?

Website types often overlap: a company website gains a shop or a configurator, and a campaign landing page is built from the blocks of a site that's already live.
