Billboards, citylights and press ads
A billboard has a few seconds; a magazine ad can say more. We design materials to suit the way people see them. We arrange the headline, the image and the brand so the main idea stays readable on the street and on the printed page.
Approach
Fitting the ad to where people see it
We get to know the medium, the location or the publication, and the context of the campaign. That decides the amount of text, the scale of the image and the role of contact details.
-
One main idea
We choose what people should remember. Anything that can't be read in the conditions where the ad is seen is moved out of the foreground.
-
Readable at scale
We check contrast, letter size and brand proportions. We also judge the design scaled down and in a visualisation of where it will be displayed.
-
The right files
We work to the current specification of the publisher or media owner, allowing for format, bleed, margins and print preparation requirements.
